Terms of Service

By accessing or using idenplane.com (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These terms govern your use of the Site only — the Idenplane software itself is governed separately by the license under which you obtain it (see Section 3).

idenplane.com is the marketing and documentation site for Idenplane, an open-source identity and access management server maintained by independent contributors. The Site provides product information, documentation, a public API reference, blog posts, and links to community resources (GitHub, package registries, etc.). The Site does not host any user accounts, customer data, or paid services.

The Idenplane server software is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Use of the software is governed by that license, not by these Terms. The official client SDKs are distributed under their respective licenses (typically MIT) as stated in each package's repository. You agree not to:

• scrape, mirror, or systematically harvest the Site for purposes other than indexing by reputable search engines;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying infrastructure;
• send automated traffic at a volume that disrupts normal service for others;
• use the Site to distribute malware, phishing, or other harmful content;
• misrepresent your affiliation with Idenplane or its maintainers.

We may rate-limit, throttle, or block requests that we believe violate these rules.

Community spaces linked from the Site — GitHub Issues, GitHub Discussions, and similar — are governed by GitHub's Terms of Service and the project's Code of Conduct. Maintainers may moderate, lock, or remove contributions that violate either. The Idenplane project does not own or control GitHub, npm, Docker Hub, or any other third-party platform we link to.

The "Idenplane" name, the bracket "[-]" mark, and the visual identity used on the Site are trademarks of the Idenplane project maintainers. You may reference the project name in articles, talks, and integrations without prior permission, provided the reference does not imply endorsement or affiliation. Other content on the Site (documentation, blog posts, code samples) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 unless otherwise stated; you may reuse it with attribution.

The Site links to third-party services such as GitHub, npm, Docker Hub, and GitHub Sponsors. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those services. When you follow an outbound link you become subject to the destination's own terms and privacy policy.

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Documentation may contain errors. Code samples are illustrative and may need adaptation. The Idenplane software is provided under the AGPL-3.0 disclaimer of warranty.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Idenplane project maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or the software, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in the Site or in applicable law. The current version is always available at this URL, and the "Last updated" date below indicates when the most recent change took effect. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be announced via the project's GitHub Releases.
